Overview

Life is too short to not give it all you can, and Easter Island is too far away and too magical not to be fully explored. We will take you on an epic journey throughout our island, discovering it in a way more thorough than basically any traveler has ever done. The more easily accessible sites will be visited during our two days of archaeological tours. For the more hidden sites we will get off the beaten path, venturing into the most remote areas of the island, discovering the most secluded caves, unique statues and stunning views that not even most locals have had a chance to see. This adventure does not require you to be an athlete, but you do need to be in a good physical condition. The hikes are over uneven terrain with varying altitude, and the longest hike is 21 km over 7 hours.

Excellent Five Day Private Tour of Rapa Nui

Joaquin was our excellent guide for three couples touring the major Rapa Nui sights over five days. Marcus was excellent in helping to plan the specific things we wanted to see during our stay and was welcoming, helpful and flexible with the arrangements. Make sure to check out his excellent T shirts at Rapa Music for an excellent souvenir. In terms of the highlights of the trip I cannot recommend Joaquin highly enough, he is kind, funny and has a great knowledge of the island's history. Everyone has different sightseeing highlight from a trip but for me the Moai quarry is amazing and I really enjoyed the exploration of the caves and paths used to transport the Moai to name a couple. The prices for this tour were also very competitive, which we appreciated.

So important to have the right Easter island experience with the right agency

It was 4 full days plus stargazing, all over the island in December 23 and the following January, for the other half of the tour. It was more than just an initiation. It was a full introduction and an comprehensive, extensive+intensive review, tailored made to my physical capability and timetable, that exhausted all aspects of the island: anthropology, history, astronomy + astrology, mythology, civilization of engineering, mathematics, peace and relative democracy and gender equality, partly vegetarian and very organized, links to Fibonacci theory and connective inspiration to modern Bauhaus. In a nutshell, Marcus and his guides-excellent drivers as they are excellent in guiding: Andres and Sebastian, they all made me bless my decision to fulfill my dream come true. That indeed was a fully fulfilled dream and a good dream becoming a reality, thanks to them. Easter island is the summit of the Mauri and Polynesian civilization. The pyramids of that one, the equivalent. I wish you, knowledgeable and curious tourists, not to go off the face of the Earth without being there. So when (and not "if") you do it, even after many years like me (a question of distance) - ONLY with Marcus' Easter Island Tours!! A must on all aspects.
