Overview

A moderate 40-minute uphill hike through a beautiful jungle landscape gets you to the 12th waterfall, or, if you are in excellent physical shape, choose to hike all the way to the top of the 27 waterfalls (approximately 70 minutes) and experience it all. Either way, your real fun begins as we head back downriver and you jump, slide, and swim your way through a series of spectacular waterfalls, canyons, and azure pools, emerging with a silly grin on your face and incredible memories to cherish! The tours include jumps of up to 25 feet (8 meters). After a 15-minute walk back to base camp and changing into your dry clothes, enjoy a delicious and varied Dominican buffet lunch, which includes things like barbecued chicken and pork, stews, rice, pasta, and salads. Water and sodas are included (beer is available but not included). After the meal, say goodbye to the local guides, and your best experience will be kept in mind and in photos or videos for the rest of your life.

Great adventure. Be prepared to swim whole journey. If you bring your cellphone, make sure to bring a 100% waterproof case. It’s about two hours walking, hiking, swimming.

Spectacular experience you just can't get taking pictures of a waterfall in the distance! Note: folks from the cruise ship seemed surprised at the hike up - it was long and steep. And worth it! Also, you can only purchase the photo package prior to the tour. I was disappointed after.

We had a wonderful experience with this tour. Jonathan was our tour guide and he did a great job. Our group was small, just us and another couple, which was way better than some of the huge groups we saw on other tours. The waterfalls were a great time, and the other stops around the city gave us a feel for the local life. Very happy with our experience.

7 Falls Only

Went by private taxi service to the falls. On this date (Dec 2/22) we were charged 12usd pp. I thought that was excessive as we were told this was for 12 falls not 7. Perhaps it was a 'special' rate for this date as a cruise ship was docking that day, or I was misinformed. At any rate, it was a great experience although too short. Walk to the first slide wasn't too bad (20-30 min) for this senior. Our group had 3 guides and one of them took many pictures & videos of my family with my camera. No charge, except for optional tip at end which we were certainly glad to give.
