Overview

Sail Tahoe Blue is the premier sailing charter in South Lake Tahoe. We offer a unique sailing adventure and include complementary local beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages on all of our daily cruises. Unlike other tour boats which take 50+ passengers, our sailing yacht, "Blue", limits our capacity to 18 passengers. If you care to enjoy the beauty of propulsion by Mother Nature without the sound and smell of an engine, come sail with us! Sail Tahoe Blue cruises focus on sailing and sharing the beauty of Lake Tahoe, we do not offer guided tours. Please note that we will be sailing and that the sailboat is powered by the wind, so our route is wind dependent. We do not sail to Emerald Bay on our public charters, as it is too far of a distance to sail in two hours. Ages 5 and up only.

Meeting points

Please arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled cruise. When you arrive, please meet us at the blue tent with our logo and name on it to check in.

Itinerary

Whether you are a couple, family, single traveler, or large group, our cruises are the perfect way to enjoy Lake Tahoe's beauty. Our 40 foot sailing vessel, “Blue”, is capable of carrying up to 18 passengers and delivers a safe and fun lake adventure. All of our cruises include local beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages. Our team is dedicated to providing you with an experience of a lifetime. All of our captains are have United States Coast Guard Captains Licenses. Our vessel “Blue” is also certified by the Coast Guard meeting the highest safety requirements keeping your party as safe as possible. Please note that our sailboat is powered by the wind, so our route for the two hour public cruise is wind dependent and it varies depending on the wind strength and direction.

Great way to experience a Lake Tahoe Sunset.

We loved our sunset cruise. Nice boat & great staff. The captain was very engaging with all the passengers. It was nice meeting other passengers on the cruise.

The cruise was amazing! The captain and crew were so nice and accommodating. They had great communication and helped us reschedule when our original date was cancelled due to a wind advisory. Overall a wonderful experience!

My husband and I had a fabulous day on the boat. From the meet and greet at the beginning of the cruise to the cruise itself, a great time was had by all! Our captain and his first mate were very attentive, full of lake information, and friendly as can be. The drinks were available whenever we wanted them, too! We will do this trip again!
