I always wanted to visit Mount Bromo for a long time. As a geography enthusiast and also considering significance of Indian culture here, today’s visit was a dream come true for me. My colleague at Surabaya chose Bromo Vacations for my trip and I feel he did a perfect choice. Initially, I thought the trip to be a bit expensive but the quality of experience provided by the energetic and affable tour guide, ever smiling UBAY was simply amazing and did surpass my expectations. The timing chosen allowed me to escape mad rush and spots he chose gave me perfect views. While he insisted I followed the rules(which, anyway, I would have), he also complied with my wishes wherever allowed. Weather played tremendously supportive role. Full moon was in full bloom when we reached the coffee shop, expecting Sun to rise after an hour. Riot of colours in the sky will never be forgotten. The constant bellowing of smoke from mighty Bromo and intermittent eruptions from even larger Sumeru played in tandem to create an unforgettable experience. Indeed.

We took a punt and chose Bromo Vacation after emailing a few companies and they were the only ones that wanted to return our queries. We had lots of questions and they answered them all without being pushy. I come from a business background so I was quite impressed with how much detail, information and strict adherence to timing everything was. It was a very slick operation. I initially thought that the US$75/head was a bit steep, but I didn’t know just how much effort, care and planning goes into getting us to the Sunrise location and the rim of the Bromo crater. For what you get, including, pickup, drivers (x2), breakfast, water, coffee, guide info, etc, etc, etc, it was outstanding value for money. Our drivers, Doby and Mardi, were capable, competent and worked very hard for their money. I never felt unsafe. Hreesang, our guide became a member of our family by the end of the day, he was patient, kind, informative and a ‘fixer’ for any issues we had. One of my boys was sick and the other has Autism, so getting them to the top of the crater was going to be a challenge, but it was effortless for Hreesang, he was a master in befriending them and keeping them gently motivated while informing them about the spectacular place they were experiencing. Climbing Bromo was a life-moment for our family, it brought us together on a true adventure. We won’t forget that day for the rest of our lives, it was truly epic. I can’t recommend Bromo Vacation enough for their professionalism, their friendliness and their commitment to a quality, value for money service.

Visiting Mt.Bromo was a fantastic experience. Truly awe inspiring. My guide Hisyam Fadillah Anijaya was excellent. He was informative, interesting and very helpful. Very happy with my experience.

Booked last minute as our tour was cancelled literally an hour before setting off so we were extremely happy they allowed us to go on such a short notice. Our tour guide Raihan (Ry) was amazing, was able to share a lot of interesting facts we wanted to know and he came prepared with picnic style blanket so we can watch the sunrise seated. Very personable and lovely. The jeep driver also took some great photos for us- the team in general is amazing. Wr were very happy with the experience and it's really worth it
