Bukit Cinta Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru

BUKIT CINTA (LOVE HILL). Believed by the Tengger tribe as a place where two pairs of lovers, namely Joko Seger and Roro Anteng are referred to as ancestors or the origin of the Tengger tribe who inhabited the Mount Bromo area. This is the most romantic location in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS). If you keep thinking about the person you love while the trip from the viewpoint to this place, the Tengger tribe believes that you will become a life partner with the people you think about.

Luhur Poten Temple

Pura Luhur Poten is a Hindu temple located under the foot of Mount Bromo. This temple is the center of religious activities of the majority Tengger tribe who are Hindu. You can visit this place by walking as far as 200 meters from the car park area.

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park

WIDODAREN - The dinosaurs valley. Mount Widodaren is a mountain located close to Mount Bromo. Mount Widodaren has a height of 2,614 meters above sea level. This mountain is one part of the Tengger caldera. Activities that you can do here is take a picture in front of a Jeep car with a beautiful mountain view

Gunung Penanjakan

MALANG- SUNRISE VIEW POINT, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (TNBTS) The trip to Mount Bromo normally takes for 2-2.5 hours from Malang city. The first area of TNBTS that we will visit is the sunrise view point located in Penanjakan or Kingkong hill. Normally the sunrise will be rise at 04.30 AM. Upon arrival in the sunrise view point, the driver will ask for permission to take a rest until 06.00 AM. This is important considering the road conditions that you will take in the morning are more bumping than the road that you have traveled during night (Malang-Sunrise view point). So you’ll enjoy the view of Penanjakan without a tour guide. The night temperature at Mount Bromo is normally 0°-12° Celcius and will warm up when the sun rises. If you need an extra jacket, you can rent in the sunrise view point with cost 20.000 - 30.000 IDR. While waiting for sun to rise, you can wait at local coffee shop there. Please ask for the price first to avoid scam in the end.

The tour was brilliant. A genuine 5 out of 5. Irwan was our english-speaking tour guide and he’s truly great at it. Makes you feel at ease, very chilled (which helps at 12am in the morning) and has a hilarious dry sense of humour which often caught us by surprise. Mr. Wawan was our driver who did a great job, took it slow in parts that were super bumpy which you can only notice in the daylight when you see other jeeps speeding past! The views and spots are great, no need to go into detail, it’s a must-do experience. Top tip: I would dress for cold but also a change of clothes for when it gets hot because of all the walking and the sun heating up! British couple, 29 & 28 years old.

You explained everything very well: the reason why we needed to leave in the middle of the night, some facts about Mount Bromo, what we could expect and after all you’re an amazing photographer. It’s a bumpy ride, but credits to the driver (Mr. Arif). At the sunrise tour of mount bromo it was if we’re just looking at a beautiful painting.

I had an incredible experience with Smartway on our trip to Mt. Bromo! My sister, mother, and I were fortunate to have Mr. Wawan and Mr. Irwan as our guides, and they truly made our adventure unforgettable. From the very beginning, they were not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly, explaining everything about Mt. Bromo with great enthusiasm and detail. They made sure we understood the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area, which added so much depth to the experience.

Irwan and Mr Wawan were superb! They were very helpful and patient. They were not even a second late when they came to pick us up in the morning. They took us to the best spots for Bromo sunrise and made sure we were on time everywhere which made our experience so much more better! We skipped the crowds everywhere and even the weather was in our favor because of us being on time for all spots! Mr wawan drove very well even though it poured on our way back and Irwan had fun anecdotes to share throughout. Irwan also clicked some really great pictures of us! Overall, would highly recommend this tour and these guides. They made our experience so much more special!
