Overview

The House of Waterford Crystal comprises of a manufacturing facility, visitor centre and retail outlet. Visitors can enjoy all aspects of the manufacturing process through the factory tour and learn about both historical and contemporary production techniques through direct interaction with the craftsmen and audiovisual materials. The manufacturing facility contains a brand new continuous melt tank furnace that uses leading edge technology to deliver molten crystal, for skilled master blowers to hand-shape and hand-blow into Waterford Crystal’s range of premium products. The retail centre represents the largest display of Waterford Crystal in the world.

Met every expectation!

Everybody knows what Waterford Crystal is, but not a lot of people know what the history of Waterford. We elected to take a tour of The House of Waterford. The tour was very nicely conducted. Our tour guide (I don't remember her name) was very informative and interacted with us tourist wonderfully. Seeing how the crystal is made was very interesting. The facility was extremely clean, and the staff was very lovely. The "showroom" where you can purchase pieces was spotless, beautiful and elegant, but not snooty or stuffy! The overall build of The House of Waterford was very tasteful, and the employees were equal to that. They spent time with my wife and myself, and we ultimately purchased the Lismore Decanter and a set of high ball glasses as well. If you know anything about Waterford Crystal, I will say this is a must stop and see! If you don't know anything about Waterford Crystal, you will become a fan, admirer or maybe owners to a couple of their pieces after the visit. A job well done Waterford! We would love to come back and add to our collection!

Very nice tour that explains the entire process. You get to view the workers in action. The detail is amazing going from simple pieces to complicated pieces.

A highlight of my RIT tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Not the factory anymore but a good representation of the process. Bought a crystal cross and had it shipped to the USA. Store staff were very knowledge able every piece and very professional in their sales transaction. Piece arrived in perfect condition. THANLS!

My wife and I took this tour and found it interesting and fun. We were so close to the craftsman, I felt like I could be intruding. However, they kept doing their work comfortably. The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We really liked it.
